Power of Attorney
1What is A Power of Attorney (PoA)
This is a written document which gives a person of your choice the authority to take actions or make decisions on your behalf. You choose the person you want to help you – called the Attorney – and decide what powers the Attorney should have. They can have the authority to deal with your financial and property affairs and also your personal welfare.
2Why Should I Consider Granting A PoA
The purpose of granting such power is to ensure that, should you ever become unwell and be unable to manage your day to day finances, or be incapable of making decisions about your personal welfare, your interests will continue to be protected by the person(s) whom you have chosen.
3What Would Happen If I Did Not Have A PoA
If you became ill and were unable to manage your day to day finances, your bank and other organisations will not accept instruction from anyone who has not been legally authorised to act on your behalf. The same applies if you become incapable of making decisions about your personal welfare.
Our fees for Preparation of POA is available for £99.00 GBP.
